Gaza has been under attack for too long. Only recently, we witnessed the war in 2021 with homes destroyed haphazardly, ‘raiding’ sirens instilling fear and terror in the lives of families and children. These wars are never infrequent, we saw the same in 2008, 2012 and 2014. To think it has only been the ongoing siege is an understatement. Today, we witness how vulnerable the people of Gaza are to the hazardous weather, specifically the torrential rain that has swept the city entirely.
Over the years we have seen them at war, with little to no means to fend for themselves. Today, we witness how the weather is also against them in this harsh winter. Children and families are unable to make their way to school, work or the supermarket to get the necessities to get by.
Our target is to reach a minimum of 1000 families, by providing each family with the necessities of food and ‘winter needs’ at £100 per family. This includes:
• Fuel: £20
• Food: £50
• Winter Kit: £30 (blanket and clothes)
