10 million are impacted by the worst drought in Somalia since 1981.
This is a climate change impact, and the result of decades of conflict and made worse by the soaring prices of food, fuel and fertiliser due to the Ukraine war.
As a result:
- Thousands have lost their lives
- 6 million are at the brink of famine and suffering malnourishment
- 7 million have relocated and are displacement in search of food and water
