The best charity is “Suqya” (providing) Water. (Hadith)

Water is an incredibly important part of life, but severely lacking from many Palestinians. In fact, more than 50% of the population of Gaza Strip do not receive running water.

Due to the occupation and blockade in Gaza impacting schools and other educational institutions, many children have walked miles in the heat to get or to buy the clean water for drink, whilst there is no water. This basic right is stripped from Palestinians on a daily basis and is mainly impacting the life of needy families specially the children.

Without water, people are unable to live their basic live which is considered as initial to live and are left with no option but to drop out of house.

Water sources vary, with 90.6% coming from an established water network, the rest comes from water tanks, wells and other sources. The clean water for school project is divided into 3 stages:

1. Digging the well and installing pump to extract water from the ground.
2. Installing the filtering system.
3. Building the entire pipping and networking system (tanks, taps…), or having a station will be used by public to get the clean water to drink.

International Waqf and Relief Foundation (IWARF) are currently supporting schools on the grounds in Gaza with a beneficiary of more than 3000 people are benefiting from this project. This includes two schools, a male’s school, Hammad bin Khalifa, encompassing 1,300 students and Hammed bin Khalifa school, with over 1,300 female students. We build a well, filtering system and solar system so students have access to water every day.
